neutrons 71GEAc captured by natural germanium. For the energies and intensities of the 71GEBc gamma rays with energies above 4880 keV emitted by the capture of 71GECc thermal neutrons by 70Ge, I adopted the results of Islam et al. (1991) 71GEDc [1991Is01]. For most gamma rays with energies less than 2000 keV, I 71GEEc adopted the intensities of Weishaupt and Rabenstein (1972) [1972We10], 71GEFc multiplied by a factor of 3.5088. Gamma rays not in Islam et al. 71GEGc (1991) or Weishaupt and Rabenstein (1972) were taken from Groshev et 71GEHc al. (1972) [1972Gr34], with their intensities multiplied by a factor 71GEIc of 1.7. 71GE c These intensities are usually 1.7 times those adopted by 71GEAc Bhat (1993) [1993Bh02], who adopted the intensities of Groshev et al. 71GEBc (1972), which were based on intensities for 73Ge(n,gamma)74Ge of 71GECc Magruder and Smither (1969) [1969Ma31]. As discussed by Islam et al. 71GEDc (1991), all gamma-ray intensities for Ge isotopes based on Magruder 71GEEc and Smither (1969) are too low. The intensities adopted here are 71GEFc consistent with the measurements using natural germanium of Rasmussen 71GEGc et al. (1969) [1969Ra10]. 71GE c These adopted intensities are slightly higher than those of 71GEAc gamma rays above 5270 keV of Barchuk et al. (1970) [1970Ba]. They are 71GEBc generally consistent with the results of Hofmeyr et al. (1969) 71GECc [1969HoZT]. 71GE c Most gamma-ray energies are probably not much better than 71GEAc ~1 keV. They generally agree with the level assignments and level 71GEBc energies of Bhat (1993) to ~1 keV or better. The intensities of the 71GECc high-energy gamma rays of Islam et al. (1991) are reported to be good 71GEDc to about 10%. I would estimate that most other intensities have 71GEEc uncertainties of ~25-50%. The set is not complete, missing about 36% 71GEFc of the total energy and over half of the gamma rays from the capture 71GEGc level.
