Three sets of data for 182TABc thermal-neutron-capture by 181Ta were used for both energies and 182TACc relative intensities of the capture gamma rays. From 44 to 988 keV, 182TADc the data of Van den Cruyce et al. (1979) [1979Va10] was used. For 3882 182TAEc to 6063 keV, the data used were those of Helmer et al. (1971) 182TAFc [1971He13]. For gamma-ray energies between those in these two data 182TAGc sets plus a few other gamma rays also in Ali et al. (1997) [1997Al28], 182TAHc I used the data of Rasmussen et al. (1969) [1969Ra10]. 182TA c The low-energy data of van den Cruyce et al. (1979) are 182TAAc consistent with those of Helmer et al. (1971). The high-energy data of 182TABc Helmer et al. (1971) are consistent with those of Wasson et al. (1969) 182TACc [1969Wa05]. Some levels were assigned to the Rasmussen et al. (1969) 182TADc gamma rays using the cascade data of Ali et al. (1997). Some of the 182TAEc other adopted gamma rays were also reported for the cascades in Ali et 182TAFc al. (1997). 182TA c To convert the relative intensities of van den Cruyce et 182TAAc al. (1979) at low energies and of Helmer et al. (1971) at high 182TABc energies to intensities per 100 neutron captures, Firestone (1988) 182TACc [1988Fi05] recommends multiplying both sets of intensities by 0.072 182TADc (+-0.002). Uses these factors, the sum from the capture state is ~100% 182TAEc and that into the ground state is ~14%. However, the normalized 182TAFc intensities different in those two energy regions from the stronger 182TAGc gamma rays in Rasmussen et al. (1969) by factors of 5 and 10, 182TAHc respectively. I decided to adopt Rasmussen et al. (1969) as being 182TAIc absolute and multiplied the van den Cruyce et al. (1979) low-energy 182TAJc intensities by 0.36 and the Helmer et al. (1971) high-energy 182TAKc intensities by a factor of 0.0072. The sum into the ground state is 182TALc now 72%, and an additional 22% decays to the 16 keV level of 182Ta, 182TAMc making the ground-state sum about 94%. I feel that decays into the 182TANc ground state should be much closer to 100% than decays from the 182TAOc capture state, so find the resulting sums reasonable. The reported 182TAPc "absolute" intensities of Groshev et al. (1958) [1958Gr01] at high 182TAQc energies are similar to those of Rasmussen to within ~50%. 182TA c The energies are probably good to ~1 keV. The intensities 182TAAc are probably uncertain by ~50% or possibly more. Many gamma rays, 182TABc including many in Ali et al.
